Life Time Fitness

UX / content design

Life Time’s growing digital experience served more than one million members while also helping prospective members explore clubs, programs and services.

Our team created a responsive member website that made each experience relevant to a member’s home club. Location-specific schedules, classes, services and amenities came together within one consistent digital system.

Challenge
Connect a wide range of member experiences

Life Time’s website needed to support many different journeys, from helping prospective members explore clubs and programs to helping current members discover activities, check schedules and register.

The challenge was to connect these experiences so people could move easily from interest to information to action, even as content and availability varied across clubs.

Role
Bring clarity and consistency to the experience

s a Senior UX Writer, I helped define the content strategy and structure for the redesigned experience. I partnered with research teams and subject matter experts to understand user needs, business requirements and the details behind Life Time’s programs and services.

I brought those insights into working sessions with UX and design, where I helped outline key journeys, iterate on early wireframes and determine what information people needed at each step. From initial concepts through final designs, I wrote and refined content for prospective-member exploration, program discovery, schedules and registration.

Strategy
Design around interests, goals and readiness

We organized the experience around what people wanted to achieve, whether they were exploring Life Time for the first time, returning for a familiar class or considering something new.

Clear pathways connected discovery, education and registration. Relevant details helped people understand what to expect, while approachable content made experiences like personal training, wellness coaching and new classes feel easier to try.
